As a mom, I am always looking for easy, nutrient dense snacks that I can prep ahead of time and pull out for my kids throughout the week. These little ham and cheese crescent rolls make the perfect park lunch or quick afternoon snack.
Let me show you how to make these yummy ham and cheese crescent rolls!
Ingredients
Deli Ham – Choose deli ham that is made with clean ingredients and nitrate free.
Cheese – Have fun with the cheese! Our personal favorite is raw cheddar cheese, but you can use any cheese of your choice!
Crescent Rolls – Check out my crescent rolls with fresh milled flour recipe. Making your own crescent roll dough is simple, delicious, and nutrient dense.
How to Make Ham & Cheese Crescent Rolls
1) First, make your crescent roll dough from fresh milled flour and allow the dough to chill in the fridge for 1 hour.
2) Cut the dough into four equal parts. Roll each part into a circle and cut each circle into 8 pieces using a pizza cutter.
3) On each piece of dough, lay one piece of deli ham and a piece of cheese at the top.
4) Starting at the widest part, roll the dough inwards towards the point to make your roll.
5) Bake the rolls at 375 F for 15-20 minutes until the rolls are golden brown.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I substitute the ham for other deli meat? Yes! This recipe is completely customizable! Pick your favorite meat and cheese, roll it up in the dough, and bake!
Can I freeze these rolls? Yes! You can freeze them while they are dough and bake later or bake and then freeze them. Either way will work.
Do I have to use your crescent roll recipe? No, you can use another recipe or the canned dough, but I recommend my recipe because the ingredients are simple and full of vitamins and minerals that are not present in other doughs.
Enjoy these ham and cheese crescent rolls as a snack, lunch on-the-go, or an appetizer! They are a great little snack to have on hand for your family!
