Chocolate Peanut Butter Lactation Treats

Ingredients for Lactation Treats

1) Oats – Oats are known for helping many women produce more milk for their babies. It is important to use organic oats that are glyphosate free to protect your body and baby’s. I get my oats from Azure Standard.

2) Coconut – Shredded coconut and coconut oil boost the fat content of mama’s milk making it more satisfying for baby!

3) Brewers Yeast – Brewers yeast contains nutrients that are known to help boost milk supply such as chromium and B vitamins.

How to Make These Lactation Treats

1) Put the oats, shredded coconut, and brewers yeast in the food processor and pulse until it becomes powder.

2) In a bowl, combine the oats and coconut mixture, peanut butter, vanilla, maple syrup, and softened coconut oil.

3) On a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper, press the mixture into a thin rectangle on the pan.

4) Put the pan in the freezer and allow the mixture to freeze for 1 hour.

5) Create a double boiler by filling a sauce pan half way with boiling water and placing a glass bowl on top.

6) In the glass bowl, place the chocolate and remaining coconut oil. Mix until both are fully melted and combined.

7) Pour the melted chocolate onto the frozen peanut butter and oat mixture and spread thin.

8) Place the lactation treats back into the freezer for 1 more hour, then break it apart into pieces and enjoy!

  • 2 tbsp brewers yeast

  • 1 tsp vanilla

  • 4 tbsp pure maple syrup

  • 11/2 cup peanut butter

  • 1/2 cup softened coconut oil

  • Chocolate Topping
  • 1 chocolate bar (72% dark)

  • 2 tbsp coconut oil

Directions

  • Put the oats, shredded coconut, and brewers yeast in the food processor and pulse until it becomes powder.
  • In a bowl, combine the oats and coconut mixture, peanut butter, vanilla, maple syrup, and softened coconut oil.
